Cute Little Monkey

I am still trying to learn how to use Copics properly. I have gotten the purchasing of the Copics down; I am busily accumulating my stash. I just have to start practicing more. This card started with the palm tree; I thought it would be easy enough to color and shade. Then I stamped the monkey, then the bird. Of course they were on little bits of paper that in no way resembled a card, but tossed on my desk I thought- Hey I could put those together. So I cut them out (no easy task, I am not an expert in cutting intricate details), and then popped them up a bit. I didn't mess with the whole adding shadows thing, perhaps on the next card. I did use black Memento ink and I could see a difference, Memento is definately the way to go. I kept looking at the card thinging what else I could add- a button, ribbon? I may add some twine at the top, but for right now I think this is cute just the way it is.
